| Market Hall of Wroclaw - amazing gothic bilding | Wroclaw sometimes is called "the city of thousand bridges". It's a bit exaggerated but the truth is we have quite a lot of bridges. In Wroclaw there is one main river - Odra, five smaller rivers and few channels. Before II World War we had 303 bridges, now we have 220 of them.

Wroclaw is fourth city in Poland. We have 650 thousand of people living here. Wroclaw is as well one of the biggest center of high education with Wroclaw University and University of Technology as a main institutions. Wroclaw may be as well called the city of students - more then 150 thousand of them studying here - every one out of five person is a student!

The places you should see while visiting Wroclaw are: beautiful market square with old colorful buildings around, amazing Market Hall, Aleksander Fredro Monument and new modern fountain. When you get tired of buzzing market square atmosphere you should visit Ostrow Tumski - the oldest part of Wroclaw where you can walk around among old churches, and visit Cathedral. Continuing sightseeing you may visit National Muzeum and Panorama Raclawicka - huge painting 114x15 meters which shows one of the battles from polish history. For kids more intresting may be the Zoo - one of the biggest in Poland. Very close from here there is Szczytnicki Park - huge, green area from XVIII century with original japanesee garden inside.
