Polish girls the best in Europe
In 2006 in Goetheborg during European Team Chess Chamiponship Polish team (from left): Iweta Radziewicz, Jolanta Zawadzka, Marta Zielinska, Joanna Dworakowska i Monika Socko become the European Chamipons. Our team went to Goethebor to take part in XV European Chess Championship with strong will to struggle for trophies. Before the competition it was belived that girls team had a chance to be among the best. On the starting list they were classified on 4th place . The chances for man were not so big but in sport You never can't be sure about results. Till the last games both of our teams were fighting for medals. Our ladies have achived the historical succes - they gained the gold medal and during the closing ceremony we could hear the polish anthem! The gold team were: Iweta Radziewicz, Monika Socko, Jolanta Zawadzka, Joanna Dworakowska and Marta Zielińska. The couch and team capitain as one person was Marek Matlak with support of Piotr Murdzia Our girl's team didn't lose any match, Monika Socko has got individually "the small" gold medal on second board. Jolanta Zawadzka didn't lose any game. |
